SAIGA bionic protection
principle

The bionic principle is adopted from the natural purification mechanism of saiga antelopes. The hair covering of their enlarged, compared with the other animals of the same family, nasal cavity fills the whole cavity space and, being moistened by the nasal glands secretion,

effectively captures dust from the inspired air. If the hair covering is contaminated by dust, the regeneration is done by saigas instantaneously by sudden expulsion of air (a sneeze).

Two spiral brushes made of nylon line play the part of the hair covering in the dust mask, and two barrel-shaped (ellipsoidal, with corrugated surface) bodies (cartridges) arranged symmetrically on each side

of the mask play the part of the nasal cavity. Liquid on the basis of glycerin and water substitutes the secretion. Both cartridges are connected to a T-shaped adapter, the central hole of which is connected to the mask obturator*.
